Sir,?The ' os naviculare manus '* and the ' os naviculare pedis '* are two bones in the human body serving homologous functions and having analogous positions; the term ' navicular' being common to both, confusion is possible. Generally the prefix and suffix of the ' naviculare' are omitted, the adjuncts of distinction being dispensed with, and the bone being called the ' navicular bone' for all theoretical and practical
